Does Anyone Listen to Their Mothers Anymore?

Like most kids, I fought with my brothers and sisters growing up.  And, like most mothers do, I was constantly told "Don't fight with your little sisters.  You're supposed to be more mature, set a good example."  I bring this up because of the fun 4chan seems to be having at the MIAA, RCAA, and BPI:

Activists Target Recording Industry Websites

An Open Letter From Anonymous

Operation: Payback is a Bitch has been launched due to AIPLEX performing distributed denial-of-service attacks (DDOS) on The Pirate Bay, a website known for hosting torrents, allowing users to download illegal copies of various digital media and software.

While you may believe The Pirate Bay needed to get shut down, there's a right and wrong way to go about doing this.  Earlier this year, Newsbin was taken to court for indexing torrents like the ones Pirate Bay hosts.  This would be the right way - or as our mother's would say, being mature and setting a good example.  Instead, the MIAA, RCAA, and BPI decided to start a food fight instead, by hiring AIPLEX to attack Pirate Bay.  Now, it's come back to bite them in the ass, and they have no one to blame but themselves.  They are the staff of a school, and instead of sending a few kids to detention, they started a food fight, 3 on 3 million.

You can check out progress of the attacks through Panda Security's Blog.
